It has been WAYYYYYY too long since I posted in my blog, so I am going to try and keep it more up to date. Life has been very busy for the past year or more. So many things have dramatically changed, but the first and most significant has been my oldest son Zach has joined the Navy and is stationed in San Diego, California on Coronado Island. We are so very proud of him, but miss him dearly. Below is a pic of him in his dad's navy hat, maybe it was a look into the future. My youngest Ben has done his best to keep us busy and distracted so we can't mope too much about Zach being away from home. He is learning to drive! Yikes! Ben has also kept me busy every weekend at baseball tournaments! It has been pretty exhausting, but we both love baseball. I have also been trying to get ready for some art shows I have coming up in September. Never a slow moment! I have been playing with felt and concrete! Seems like an odd combo doesn't it! I am always wanting to try new materials, so why not concrete! Here is a sneak peek of what I have been making. The cute containers are made of concrete and the succulents are made of felt. So now it is time to spend more time creating and keep up with this website. So check back from time to time!
I hope you find a little bit of whimsy in your day!

Tammy HaddixI created Work of Whimsy as an outlet for my creativity! I create christmas ornaments on my day job. I had so many ideas that I wanted to bring to life and this was the perfect way. I can create whatever I want and if I am lucky there is someone out there that wants to buy it! So far it is going better than I expected! Archives
